The New England Patriots caught a stray from Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison.
It all stemmed from a comment on an old Instagram post from Addison on Monday. In the post, the Vikings’ No. 2 wide receiver acknowledged that he wasn’t at his best in 2025. He is coming off the worst season of his NFL career with 42 receptions for 610 yards and three touchdowns.
“Wasn’t my best,” Addison posted.
However, that simple post turned into something more when one fan joked about Addison’s constant legal troubles off the field.
“We like our WRS with minor legal issues. Signed all New England Patriots fans,” the fan responded on the Instagram post.

Addison quickly clapped back, “yall ass.”
The Vikings are currently deciding if they want to exercise their fifth-year option on the former first-round draft pick wide receiver to keep him through 2027. But the ongoing legal drama could be the deciding factor.
Addison has experienced multiple run-ins with the law since being drafted by the Vikings, including being arrested on a trespassing charge back in January that was ultimately dropped. If Minnesota sought to trade Addison in the offseason, the Patriots might have been one of the teams interested in making a move.
They might still be if the Vikings open the phone lines, even if it would be incredibly awkward at this point.
