With free agency underway, the Cleveland Browns have spent the bulk of their cap space in rebuilding the offensive line after it was a dumpster fire in 2025. But there are still questions about the wide receiver room that stunk as well as the quarterback room that was a rollercoaster of ups and downs, but mostly downs.
Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson, who has a connection with Browns head coach Todd Monken, was on the Up & Adams show, and he had an interesting idea. Kay Adams mentioned him and Ohio State star Carnell Tate, with whom he is close, teaming up with the Browns, and Simpson liked the idea a lot.
Would Simpson to Tate work for the Browns?
He said it would be great and that he thinks Monken is going to get things right for the Browns, and that if they added him and Tate, along with the other pieces in place, they would be able to take the league by storm.
It will be interesting to see if the Browns decide to draft another QB or run things back with the current room. Carnell Tate would be a fantastic acquisition, but I have some major concerns about Ty Simpson; you can read my profile on Simpson by clicking here.
