The Philadelphia Eagles are signing former Atlanta Falcons edge rusher Arnold Ebiketie to a one-year, $7.3 million contract, NFL insider Jordan Schultz reported on Thursday evening. The former second-round pick spent his first four NFL seasons in Atlanta.

“Former Falcons DE Arnold Ebiketie is signing with the Eagles, per sources,” wrote Schultz. “A former Penn State standout, Ebiketie brings 16.5 career sacks.”

Ebiketie recorded 129 tackles (80 solo), 16.5 sacks, 41 QB hits and four forced fumbles over 67 games (12 starts) with the Falcons. While the former Nittany Lion never produced the eye-popping sack numbers that fans were anticipating, he was a consistent source of pressure off the edge.

The Eagles already have an elite defense, and Ebiketie simply gives them more firepower to work with in 2026. The Falcons went in a different direction last season, drafting Jalon Walker and James Pearce Jr.

Ebiketie thanked Falcons fans on social media.

Losing Ebiketie was expected after the Falcons signed both Samson Ebukam and Azeez Ojulari in free agency. The team also signed former Browns defensive end Cameron Thomas to a one-year deal.
