Laquon Treadwell was on his eighth team in six years when he landed in Indianapolis in 2024. It followed the end of an unceremonious four-year run for the former first-round pick in Minnesota, but the 23rd-overall selection in 2016 has clearly found a home with the Colts. The team announced Friday it had re-signed Treadwell, for a third one-year deal, a league source told IndyStar.
The 30-year-old who the Colts originally signed July 24, 2024, has bounced back-and-forth between the Colts’ active roster and its practice squad during his two seasons but saw an elevated role in 2025 on offense and special teams. Treadwell played 36 snaps on offense last season, up from just six in 2024, as well as 141 on special teams, up from 19. He appeared in 10 games last season, his most since seeing 12, and seven starts, in 2021 with the Jaguars. Treadwell played in just two games in Year 1 with the Colts in 2024.

For his career, which included four years (2016-19) with the Vikings, one season each with the Falcons (2020) and Jaguars (2021), short stints in 2022 with the Patriots, Cardinals and Seahawks and a year with the Ravens (2023) before he joined the Colts, Treadwell has 111 catches for 1,242 yards and five touchdowns to go with 12 special teams tackles.
