The San Francisco 49ers allowed Jordan Elliott, Kevin Givens and Kalia Davis, three of their seven interior defensive linemen, to hit unrestricted free agency. After Elliott found a new home earlier in the week, another has departed on Friday.

According to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo, 49ers defensive lineman Kalia Davis is signing a one-year deal with the Cleveland Browns.

Davis, 27, joined the 49ers as a sixth-round pick (No. 220 overall) in the 2022 NFL draft following a collegiate career at UCF. In his three seasons, he took on more responsibilities each year, with 2025 being his most productive season yet (28 tackles, three passes defensed, two quarterback hits and a half-sack while starting all 17 games).

In total, Kalia appeared in 33 games for San Francisco and recorded 41 tackles, four passes defensed, three quarterback hits, 1.5 sacks and one interception.
