Remember that Tennessee Titans cornerback who pretended that he didn’t know who Houston Texans Pro Bowl wideout Nico Collins was?
He’ll have plenty of time to study on his tape while looking for a new home in 2026.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Titans plan to release cornerback L’Jarius Sneed as a cap cut move to save over $11 million in space for the impending year. Sneed, whom the Kansas City Chiefs traded, struggled to stay on the field for Tennessee, appearing in 12 games over two seasons.
The Titans believed in Sneed so much that they signed him to a four-year, $76 million contract after trading for him in 2024. After starting last season on the physically unable to perform list as he recovered from a knee procedure in May and a lingering quad injury, Sneed played seven games and finished with 26 tackles and three passes defended. By mid-October, he had suffered another injury, thus being placed on the injured reserve and miss the final 10 games of the season.
But back to the Collins comments. Ahead of Week 4’s showdown between the two AFC South foes, Sneed was asked what his thoughts were on going up against the two-time 1,000-yard receiver.

His response?
Collins played it off before the game, not wanting to mess with the vibes.
“I don’t say much, I just play,” Collins said following his performance. “You can talk all you want, I’m not hearing it. Just line that sh– up.”
On Sunday, he finished with four catches for 79 yards, all of which were in coverage against Sneed, en route to a 26-0 victory.
“Who? Oh 12! It was fun,” Collins said after the game. “I respect 38 over there.”
The Texans finished with 12 wins, while Tennessee fired its head coach, Brian Callahan, six games into the year. Sneed played in one more game before being shut down, thus ending a wild chapter with the cornerback in franchise history that most people will answer when asked about in a similar fashion to that of the Collins question.
