It’s no secret the Denver Broncos are looking for more weapons for quarterback Bo Nix ahead of April’s NFL draft.

After striking out on virtually every big-name wide receiver early in the 2026 free agency cycle, the Broncos are looking at two wide receivers going into the weekend. Denver brought in Indiana Hoosiers wide receiver Omar Cooper for a pre-draft visit on Friday, according to the Denver Post’s Luca Evans. The team previously attended Navy’s pro day featuring fellow receiver Eli Heidenreich earlier this month.

Cooper was part of the national championship-winning team in 2025, under the direction of head coach Curt Cignetti, and likely No. 1 overall pick, quarterback Fernando Mendoza. Cooper also had perhaps the best touchdown catch of the 2025 season, showing incredible field awareness and catch radius.

Heidenreich is also an interesting prospect. A three-year starter for the Midshipmen, Heidenreich ran a 4.44 40-yard dash at the NFL combine. His quickness and ability to finish through the catch can be something head coach Sean Payton can use to his advantage.

The Broncos currently hold nine picks in the 2026 NFL draft, a position most teams would be envious of. The club could also be eyeing more draft picks through trades. The draft is over a month out, but things are heating up. More pre-draft visits and pro day meetings are on the way.
