The Cleveland Browns are adding another dynamic playmaking wide receiver to their list of Top 30 visits for the 2026 NFL draft. Ryan Fowler is reporting that the Browns are going to meet with Indiana‘s Omar Cooper Jr., who has been flying up draft boards and could find himself selected in the first round come April.
Cooper is a good route runner who can change direction quickly at the drop of a hat to create separation, with strong, reliable hands. The most impressive thing about Cooper’s tape is what he does after the catch. He has great speed, but he also runs through arm tackles. Once the ball is in his hands, he turns into a running back.
What Omar Cooper Jr. could bring to the Browns
He’s a slot receiver only, due to his compact build, so some might hold that against him, but that shouldn’t scare teams off because of how dynamic he is with the ball in his hands. He’s a smart player who does a great job in the screen game, allowing his blocks to set up and find the lane to get yardage.
Cooper is a smaller receiver, but he plays with the mentality of a bigger player, given how physical he is after the catch. Cooper has good body control to adjust to the ball in the air. He would absolutely improve the Browns’ passing attack and should be in strong consideration for pick 24.
