Only one of the players signed by the Arizona Cardinals in the first week of free agency received more than a one- or two-year contract and the numbers are in for Isaac Seumalo, who is expected to open the season as the team’s left guard.

Seumalo signed a three-year contract worth $31.5 million and includes $15 million fully guaranteed at signing. Most importantly, despite the average per year of $10.5 million, the salary-cap charge this year is $6.853 million. It does, however, increase to $11.4 million in 2027 and $13.1 million in 2028.

That’s traced to his base salaries of $3.5 million this year, $8 million in 2027 and $9.67 million in 2028.

The 2025 base is guaranteed, $3 million of the 2027 base, but there are no guarantees in Year 3. Another $4 million of his 2027 salary is guaranteed for injury only at signing and becomes guaranteed on the fifth day of the 2027 league year. Seumalo also received an $8.5 million signing bonus.

If the Cardinals were to move on without him next year prior to the additional salary becoming guaranteed, the dead-cap hit would be $5.83 million

Each year includes $30,000 per-game roster bonus for a max total of $510,000 along with yearly workout bonuses of $100,000.
