We are nearly one week into the NFL’s free agency period, and all remains relatively quiet for the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Currently, the only outside signing for the Jaguars has been running back Chris Rodriguez. However, GM James Gladstone recently explained the big reason behind the Jaguars’ lack of free agency moves.
Is Sunday the day we see the Jaguars make another addition? If so, who are the best available players still out there?
Focusing on positions that the Jaguars should still be looking to address, here are Pro Football Focus’ and NFL.com’s best available free agents heading into Sunday.

What’s the need? The Jaguars are positioned well here with Josh Hines-Allen and Travon Walker. However, bolstering the rotation at this position is needed. We may not see Jacksonville spend big at this position, but a low-cost addition could be made.

What’s the need? With Lloyd in Carolina, the starting job next to Foye Oluokun is up for grabs. Ventrell Miller is one candidate already on the roster to fill that role. In his press conference, Gladstone detailed the Jaguars’ plan at linebacker without Lloyd. Or perhaps we see the Jaguars explore free agency and the NFL draft to bolster the depth and competition.

What’s the need? The Jaguars are experiencing almost no roster turnover along the offensive line. So, is there a pressing need? Not really. However, for a team that stresses competition up front, I can’t rule out an addition either, as Jacksonville looks to be more effective in the run game this season.

What’s the need? This is arguably the biggest positional need the Jaguars have. Improved depth and more pass-rush juice are needed.
