The Arizona Cardinals had a myriad of injury-related issues on special teams last season and contributing to that was a back injury suffered by punter Blake Gillikin in Week 5. He spent the remainder of the season on injured reserve.
In the five games he played, Gillikin averaged 51.7 yards on 22 punts with a 45.4 net and eight punts inside the 20.

It’s also notable in those five games, kicker Chad Ryland made 8 of 10 field-goal attempts with Gillikin as the holder. One of the misses was from 57 yards. In the ensuing 12 games, Ryland struggled, connecting on only 17 of 23 attempts (73.9 percent) with three of the misses from 33, 43 and 44 yards.
Gillikin returns in 2026 on a one-year deal. We have his contract numbers.
