Pili, 26, was a part of the Seahawks’ defensive line rotation and contributed on special teams this past season, which included forcing the first fumble recovered by the team all season on a kickoff in Week 9 against the Washington Commanders.
“It means the world to me that they believe in me enough to give me another contract to come back here,” Pili said via Seahawks.com’s Ari Horton. “And hopefully run it back again. It’s life changing. After what this defense was able to do last year, I was excited.”
Specifics of Pili’s contract were not released. NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported on Thursday Pili was signing one-year, $2 million deal.
The 6-foot-3, 334-pound Pili went undrafted out of USC in 2023 and joined the Seahawks as a waiver claim on Nov. 11, 2024. He spent most of the rest of the season on the practice squad before being signed the active roster the day before Seattle’s season finale, but he was inactive for that final game.
Pili made his Seahawks debut in Week 2 of the 2025 season and played a season-high 29 snaps (20 on defensive, nine on special teams) in the game against the Commanders. In 13 regular season games, he totaled 12 tackles. Pili added another three tackles while playing 21 combined defensive snaps in Seattle’s first two playoff games. He was among seven Seahawks who were inactive for the Super Bowl.
