The Cleveland Browns are filling out their list of 2026 NFL Draft prospects they are bringing in for pre-draft visits. The list has been quite wide receiver-heavy as well, now bringing in Louisville’s Chris Bell to Berea.
Coming off a season with 72 catches for 917 yards and six touchdowns in just 11 games for the Cardinals, Bell possesses a lethal skillset on the football field. He measured in at 6-foot-2 and 222 pounds at the NFL Combine, and even at that size, he possesses an ungodly amount of explosiveness in his lower half to take a quick slant 80 yards to the house.

Bell, however, did tear his ACL in a late November game for Louisville, and that has sidelined him from the Senior Bowl, NFL Combine, and a pro day.
Bell now joins Ohio State’s Carnell Tate, USC’s Makai Lemon, Indiana’s Omar Cooper Jr., and Arizona State’s Jordyn Tyson as wide receivers who have visited the Browns ahead of the draft. It is clear that the Browns are prioritizing the position, and it is clear that they are bringing in every top name.
Where the Browns could land Chris Bell in the 2026 NFL Draft
Before tearing his ACL, Bell was a projected first round pick and in the same tier as the likes of Omar Cooper Jr., KC Concepcion, and Denzel Boston. Currently, Bell sits as the 47th overall player on the consensus board; he sat 28th on the consensus board before his injury. Some team is going to land Bell at an extreme discount, even if they have to shelf him for a bit as he continues to work his way back from the ACL injury.

This means the Browns might be able to get a first round talent with the 39th overall pick in the draft. It’s highly unlikely that he would fall into the third round, but the ACL injury could potentially make Bell available with pick No. 70 as well. For a team that needs to overhaul their entire wide receiver room, the Browns could even draft a top wide receiver with one of their two first round picks, then even double up with Bell on Day 2.
