It’s the middle of March, and Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers still has not made up his mind about whether or not he plans to return this season.
When the four-time NFL MVP spoke with Pat McAfee on McAfee’s show two weeks ago, he said a decision had not yet been made.
It shouldn’t come as a surprise. When he was with the Green Bay Packers, he did the same thing. He’d go on retreats, leaving the Packers wondering if he would return, and he did, just before training camp kicked off.
And like the Packers, fans are becoming increasingly frustrated by the quarterback’s delay in letting the team know his plans. Included in that frustration is former Steelers great Rod Woodson.
Woodson says the Steelers shouldn’t wait for Rodgers to return and they should move on.

“What is it with these ex-Green Bay Packer quarterbacks that they have to be talked about all the time?” Woodson said to Rich Eisen. “Because Brett Favre was that way for years. . . . is [Rodgers] gonna play? Listen, I get kind of tired of it. Like, listen, if he’s gonna play, say he’s gonna play, he’s gonna come back. . . . And the team shouldn’t wait for Aaron Rodgers. They need to move forward.”
Woodson also said he thought the team should have drafted Jaxson Dart. Rumors are the Steelers may be looking to take another quarterback in the draft, and most draft experts seem to think it’s Alabama’s Ty Simpson.
That might be another reason why the team isn’t in a hurry to sign a veteran quarterback.
