Broncos are loaded with picks for 2027 NFL draft

After losing two net picks to acquire wide receiver Jaylen Waddle, the Denver Broncos are now down to seven selections in the 2026 NFL draft, and they don’t hold a pick in the first round.

Next year will be a different scenario.

The Broncos have not traded any of their picks in the 2027 NFL draft, and they hold an extra seventh-round pick from the 2025 Devaughn Vele trade with the New Orleans Saints.

Denver is also expected to receive a fourth-round compensatory pick for losing John Franklin-Myers during free agency, and OverTheCap.com also estimates a seventh-round comp pick for losing safety P.J. Locke.

That gives the team ten projected picks in next year’s draft.

With three extra selections in 2027, that could give the team some extra flexibility to consider making trades in April’s draft. Next year, the draft will be held in Washington, D.C.
