The Patriots are signing ex-Buccaneers cornerback Kindle Vildor, his agents told ESPN.
It’s a one-year contract for the 5-foot-11, 189-pound defensive back, according to his agents, Kevin Conner and Robert Brown.
Vildor, 28, has played under Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel with the Titans in 2023 and assistant head coach Terrell Williams with the Lions in 2024. In 80 career games with 27 starts, he has 140 tackles, two interceptions and 18 pass breakups.
He entered the NFL in 2020 as a fifth-round pick out of Georgia Southern with the Bears. He also most recently spent time with the Buccaneers.
Vildor joins Christian Gonzalez, Carlton Davis III, Marcus Jones, Charles Woods, Marcellas Dial, Kobee Minor and Brandon Crossley on the Patriots’ cornerback depth chart.
The Patriots will have more opportunities to add cornerback depth in the 2026 NFL Draft. If the season began today, Vildor would compete with Woods, Dial and Minor for the top backup spot behind Gonzalez, Davis and Woods.
Vildor has spent the majority of his career as an outside cornerback. Jones and Dial mostly play in the slot.
