Mike Furrey is entering his third season as USC’s wide receivers coach.

COLUMBIA, S.C. — As South Carolina continues spring practice, wide receivers coach Mike Furrey will arrive at work Friday morning with a change to his contract.

Furrey has received a one-year contract extension which takes his deal through 2027 although The Big Spur is reporting Furrey did not receive a raise on his $650,000 annually salary.

The Board of Trustees approved the extension in a previously scheduled Thursday meeting.

Furrey came to South Carolina after a two-year stint as the head coach at Limestone. That was his second stop at the Gaffney-based Division II school which has since discontinued football.

He spent 11 years in the NFL as a player and in between his stops at Limestone, Furrey was the wide receivers coach in Chicago.
