The Los Angeles Rams will be playing against the San Francisco 49ers in Melbourne this September but before that game, Kevin Dotson and Kyren Williams went on a little scouting adventure to Australia. While on their trip, Dotson hit the waters for some fishing, one of his favorite hobbies outside of football.

He reeled in a massive shark, posting a photo and videos from his excursion on Instagram. Dotson is a big man, and that shark is no joke. Take a look at his catch in Melbourne.

In an interview with ESPN, Dotson says it was the biggest catch of his life.

“I caught the biggest shark of my life. This is the biggest fish I have caught. My PR (personal record),” he said.

After the shark landed on the boat, Dotson went into full-focus mode, making sure he always kept the shark’s head pointing in the right direction.

“I’m looking at him, making sure he doesn’t turn back because I heard the seven-gilled sharks can whip back to their tail – bite where their tail is. Once they told me that, I’m like, I’m looking at his eyes, I’m looking at everything. I’m ready to take that jump.”

Dotson says there’s more focus needed on this shark than there is going against an All-Pro three-tech defensive lineman.

“The shark. The three-technique’s not about to bite me,” he said with a big laugh. “This guy might take a leg. That’s not a counter move I need to worry about. There’s no film on that.”
