D’IBERVILLE, Miss. (WLOX) — Warrior Stadium is undergoing a major renovation, with district officials saying the project is on track for completion before the start of the 2026 football season.

Phase Two of the four-phase renovation was nearly complete in March, with Phases Three and Four underway.
The renovation’s four phases include the following improvements:

Last November, crews were installing modern lighting throughout the stadium as part of Phase Two.
“So far, you know, knock on wood, everything’s pretty much on track and should be up and ready for August,” said Kevin Roberts, Harrison County School District athletic director.
Preserving tradition
Roberts said the project is designed to preserve the stadium’s history while modernizing its facilities.

“We didn’t build something new, we updated something with tradition, and we’re taking that tradition and we’re making it look a little bit better, a little more paint, a little more lipstick on it,” Roberts said. “When you can mix the new with the excitement and tradition of the old, man, you got something that’s like lightning in a bottle.”
The stadium is shared by several sports and two middle schools. Roberts said the upgrades show student-athletes that the district is invested in them.
“It’s just something to take pride in,” Roberts said. “It’s something where a student-athlete can see that the district is invested in them and in their success.”

Roberts said fans should expect an energized atmosphere when the Warriors take the field this fall.
“Get here, be ready to be loud and be ready to be rowdy, because the D’Iberville Warriors are gonna bring it to the stadium this year and hopefully have a great season like they did last year,” Roberts said.
The renovation project was announced in June 2025.
