Meet the KC Swifties.

Team manager Kristin Mayer talks about the girls being athletic, but never really talking about football until Taylor started showing up at Chiefs games in 2023.

But these first graders didn’t just wanna watch football, they wanted to play it.

The Matt Leinart Flag Football League in Orange County, California, groups first and second graders together, so the KC Swifties created a brand-new team made up of all the younger kids.

The girls chose their NFL team uniforms, the Kansas City Chiefs, and rather than adding names to their jerseys, the girls adopted the name of their favorite Taylor Swift song.

They hand out friendship bracelets before games and dance on the sidelines, but then they actually became pretty good.

In the championship game in fall 2025, the KC Swifties faced off against the local Philadelphia Eagles, who just happened to be coached by Nick Foles.

Yes, that Super Bowl champion.

The Eagles ended up winning, but now with the new season underway and Nick Foles no longer coaching, the KC Swifties are the favorites to win.

Hopefully, Travis and Taylor will make an appearance soon for one of their games.
