The Cleveland Browns need to attack the wide receiver position in the 2026 NFL Draft, and they have done their due diligence at the position. Throughout top-30 visits, seven different wide receivers have come through Berea on a pre-draft meeting with the team.

One of those wide receivers is Arizona State’s Jordyn Tyson, who is seen as potentially the top pass catcher in the class. He is also the brother of Jaylon Tyson, who plays small forward for the Cleveland Cavaliers. There is just one hangup with Tyson, however.

He has not participated in any part of the pre-draft as he continues to nurse a hamstring injury. He did not test at the NFL Combine, and now The Athletic’s Dane Brugler has stated that he will not test at his pro day either after potentially re-aggravating the hamstring.

Ongoing injuries a concern for the potential Browns target

It would be a different story if the hamstring injury were a one-time thing. However, throughout his time at both Colorado and Arizona State, Tyson has been sidelined for a significant amount of time with injuries. This includes the 2025 season, where he missed time with soft tissue injuries.

It would be a bit different if Cleveland were not a cold-weather team. They are not playing in a dome quite yet. However, there is a massive concern about whether or not the soft tissue injuries could sustain outdoor football in Cleveland from October through the end of the season.

Besides, he has played football at Arizona State in the temperate Tempe and still suffered through the injuries.

Tyson is going to go in the first round, and if the Browns really want him, they may be able to get him with the 24th overall pick at this point.
