ESPN’s Ben Solak put together his list of 100 things to know with the NFL season now 100 days away. These items were broken up into categories, which included 10 bold predictions, featuring the Jacksonville Jaguars’ Brian Thomas Jr.

Solak is predicting that Thomas sets an NFL record in 2025 with 12 total games of at least 100 receiving yards. As Solak notes, Thomas had four last season, with three of them coming in the Jaguars‘ final four games.

Thomas put together an incredibly impressive rookie season, which included totaling the fourth-most receiving yards in football. However, as offensive coordinator Grant Udinski mentioned earlier this offseason, there is still more growth and potential out there for Thomas in Year 2.

In one respect, that growth can come from the experience Thomas gained as a rookie last season. Oftentimes, we see players make their biggest jumps in their second NFL seasons.

In addition to that, taking that next step doesn’t only mean more production, but how Thomas is utilized within the offense. In Liam Coen’s system, we are going to see Thomas taking more snaps from the slot, along with attacking different levels of the field more often, and doing so in different ways.

This, of course, can lead to more production, with Thomas being able to impact the game in more ways, but it’ll also help create more opportunities for others in the offense as well.

An improved running game, which the Jaguars have invested in, along with adding Dyami Brown and Travis Hunter at wide receiver, can hopefully help take some of the attention at times off of Thomas, providing him with some favorable matchups to exploit.

“I think, obviously the talent’s always been there,” Lawrence said of Thomas recently. “But I mean the confidence, obviously, off the year he had, and what he’s done. Now he has a full year on his belt where he’s one of the top receivers in the league. I think my confidence in him, seeing him do his thing for a year now, and just you get that one one-on-one, you feel really confident about our guy.”
