Decisions, decisions.

That’s what the Seattle Seahawks will be faced with when they go on the board to make their first four selections in the 2026 NFL Draft. Will Seattle go with a Running back? Tight end? Defensive end? The offseason projections seemingly never end.

According to NFL.com’s Chad Reuter, the Seahawks select Tennessee cornerback Colton Hood with the No. 32 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.

“After starting his college career at Auburn, Hood transferred from Colorado to Tennessee before last season and was thrust into a starting role because of Jermod McCoy’s injury,” Reuter said. “The Seahawks lacked a stopper outside of Devon Witherspoon in their cornerback room last year, so this is a perfect fit.”

Hood recorded one interception as well as eight passes defensed in 2025. He gets inserted into Seattle’s secondary following the departure of CB Tariq Woolen in free agency.

The Seahawks also select UCF edge rusher Malachi Lawrence (No. 64) in the second round, as well as Arkansas running back Mike Washington Jr. (No. 96) in the third round.

Lawrence recorded seven sacks as well as 11 tackles for loss in 2025. He previously recorded five sacks in 2024, as well as 7.5 in 2023. Washington Jr. rushed for 1,000 yards last season with 1,070 yards.

The Seahawks did not only lose a cornerback this offseason. Edge rusher Boye Mafe as well as Super Bowl MVP running back Kenneth Walker III both departed from the defending champions in free agency. Seattle addresses all three positions in this mock draft.
