The Tulane Green Wave had 11 players take part in Tulane Pro Day at the New Orleans Saints indoor facility. One of the guys who took part in the Pro Day was quarterback Jake Retzlaff.Retzlaff said he had a lot of fun during pro day, and it was all about good vibes, good energy and had a good rapport with all the scouts out there. He also said they told him just to go out there and sling the football and do your thing.”The lighting is kind of weird for the receivers. So, we had to get a little warmed up there, and we had a couple of weird ones, but other than that, like, it’s awesome throwing in there. I feel like I threw the ball really well today. I feel like, you know, I’ve been training for the last three months now, and I feel like it’s paid off in a lot of great ways today,” Retzlaff said. Retzlaff got some pretty good advice from the scouts.”I have asked guys, you know, some scouts out there and they’re just like, just keep working your tail off. Whenever you get in the building, be the first guy and last guy out. Be a grinder, be the guy who shows up. Obviously a team guy, be a leader and do your thing. It was a whirlwind of a season for Retzlaff, who arrived at Tulane’s campus pretty much right before the season kicked off.He feels like that experience will certainly help him land on an NFL team, which he’s very optimistic about.”I know I’m getting an opportunity. It’s a matter of when and where. And, I mean, as you can tell from what we talked about, my story getting here late and all that stuff I’m just care about, just tell me where to be and when. I’ll handle the rest from there. Everything now in between there. a lot of it’s out of my control. Some of it is when I could do interviews and meetings with the scouts and the coaches.Retzlaff is projected as a late-round pick or priority undrafted free agent in the 2026 NFL Draft.
