The Philadelphia Eagles officially signed safety and special teams ace J.T. Gray on Tuesday, according to the NFL’s transaction wire.
Gray (6-0, 202 pounds) started his NFL career as an undrafted free agent out of Mississippi State in 2018 with the New Orleans Saints, who were coached by Sean Payton at the time. The 30-year-old veteran reunited with Payton last October when the Denver Broncos signed him off the Baltimore Ravens‘ practice squad.

After signing with Denver, Gray was a healthy scratch for his first two games with the club before making his Denver debut in Week 9. Gray then suffered a hamstring injury in Week 10 and was subsequently released with an injury designation. He finished the 2025 season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers before landing in Philly this offseason.
Elsewhere on the ex-Broncos front, quarterback Joe Flacco (2019) re-signed with the Cincinnati Bengals, quarterback Teddy Bridgewater (2021) signed with the Detroit Lions and long snapper Zach Triner (2025 offseason) signed with the New York Giants. Additionally, defensive lineman Shelby Harris (2017-2021) visited the Giants.
