Notre Dame Fighting Irish football is leaning on a guest for spring practice. Quenton Nelson, who plays in the NFL for the Indianapolis Colts, is at spring practice.

The guard, who is a Notre Dame alum, is working with the offensive line.

The Colts took Nelson in the 2018 NFL Draft. Nelson earned such accolades as 2017 AP second-team All-American, 2016 Sports Illustrated second-team All-American and 2016 Notre Dame offensive lineman of the year.

Can’t hurt to have an alum with that level of success — one who is now an NFL veteran — around to teach the line on how to improve.
