The New York Giants, holders of the fifth overall selection in the 2026 NFL draft, were out in full force at Ohio State’s pro day on Wednesday.

General manager Joe Schoen, assistant general manager Brandon Brown, head coach John Harbaugh, Chris Mara, and defensive coordinator Dennard Wilson were all in attendance to get an up-close look at the elite talent coming out of Columbus this spring.

Many experts are predicting that as many as four Buckeyes will be selected in the top 10 of the first round: Linebackers Arvell Reese and Sonny Styles, wide receiver Carnell Tate, and safety Caleb Downs. Also garnering interest are defensive lineman Kayden McDonald and tight end Max Klare, both projected to be Day 2 selections.

Harbaugh’s presence was a surprise to many. He rarely attended pro days during his 18 seasons as the head coach of the Baltimore Ravens. He met with several of the players, spread his upbeat aura, and was seen embracing and palming around with Buckeyes defensive coordinator Matt Patricia, whom he had opposed in the NFL for many years.

All of those six players, except Klare, have been mocked to the Giants in mock drafts, and their crowded contingency in Columbus on Wednesday confirms their interest.

Schoen was at the Miami pro day on Tuesday, where the focus was on offensive lineman Francis Mauigoa and edge rusher Rueben Bain Jr. In South Bend, Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love did not work out, but he is also said to be on the Giants’ radar.
