Savannah native Anthony Lanier II returning to his roots this week to host his annual Undefeated Warrior Youth Football Camp at Jenkins High School. It’s a full-circle moment for Lanier, who once walked in the shoes of the young athletes he now mentors. The camp, which is set to take place at the school where Lanier was a multi-sport standout before excelling on the gridiron on the collegiate and professional ranks, will provided invaluable experience for local youth.Lanier played college football at Alabama A&M University and was signed by the Washington Redskins as an undrafted free agent in 2016. Since becoming a professional, Lanier has spent time in the NFL and in the Canadian Football League. Lanier’s nonprofit organization, Undefeated Warrior the Anthony M Lanier II Foundation, provides support to community-based organizations to promote education, good health, and the development of character, social skills and values that will empower youth in Savannah to recognize and reach their full potential. Saturday’s free Youth Football Camp kicks off at 8 a.m. The camp is open to kids ages 4-14.
