We’ve got another one of the New Orleans Saints‘ 30 pre-draft visits. Maryland Terrapins offensive lineman Alan Herron told reporters at his pro day workout that he’s scheduled to visit the Saints at their team headquarters in Metairie on April 1. Herron Started the last two years at right tackle, drawing just five penalties and allowing eight sacks on more than 1,000 snaps in pass protection, but he’s got experience on the left side, too. His work at the American Bowl all-star game in January led to a call-up to the Senior Bowl in February.
Herron weighed in at 6-foot-4 and 308 pounds, and while his 33-inch arms clear NFL thresholds to play outside he could be seen as a candidate to slide inside to guard. His 5.04 Relative Athletic Score at tackle is a middling grade, but his workout numbers translate to a 6.99 at guard. He figures to be picked late in the 2026 NFL Draft or be a priority free agent signing if he doesn’t hear his name called.
That’s why it’s a bit of a misnomer to call these “top 30 visits.” While teams are limited to 30 of them, they aren’t necessarily bringing in the top 30 players on their board. It’s an opportunity to learn more about a prospect they haven’t spent enough time with, or who has injury concerns, or other questions they want answered in a more formal setting. It also works as a recruiting visit for guys who may not be drafted and could be choosing from a couple of different options. Here’s the running list of reported 30 visits:
