The Philadelphia Eagles aren’t a team that typically sits still, and if given the uncertainty around A.J. Brown, I’d bet they’re exploring every possible move. A lot of rumors are conflicting, as some say Brown is leaving and will be traded, while others think the Eagles will keep him.
There are many trade proposals going around and some of them are very interesting.

A to Z Sports’ Adam Holt proposed a deal that would send Dontayvion Wicks from the Green Bay Packers to Philadelphia. In the deal, Green Bay would receive a fourth-round pick (No. 137) and a 2027 sixth-rounder, while the Eagles would land Wicks and a 2027 seventh-round pick.
“The Eagles have an idea of A.J. Brown’s future but that will stay close to the vest until after the NFL draft. Accordingly, adding another veteran WR to the mix could make some sense, especially if the plan is to trade Brown post-June 1.
“Philly already added both Hollywood Brown and Elijah Moore during free agency, but that shouldn’t prevent them from making another acquisition at WR if the value makes sense. Since the Birds lost Jahan Dotson during the FA period, Wicks can come in and play a role next season alongside Devonta Smith and the other depth options at the position for Sean Mannion’s offense, which he should already have a good feel for,” he wrote.
The entire deal hinges on Brown’s situation. The Eagles may have a plan internally, but as Holt noted, it’s something that likely won’t be solved until after the draft.

While we don’t know the truth behind everything, Adam Schefter reported that there’s no handshake under the table to get Brown to the New England Patriots.
“What we don’t know is what’s going to happen with New England from now until June 1st,” Schefter said.
“New England could, for all we know, bring back [Stefon] Diggs, they could go sign some of the other wide receivers that are out there, they could draft a wide receiver. And if any of those things happen, then that will probably take them out of the A.J. Brown market. “There’s no under-the-table, to my knowledge, handshake agreement between the two sides to get A.J. Brown to New England despite the rumors,” he added.
If the Eagles lose Brown, I don’t think Wicks is the perfect answer. However, there might not be a ton of better options out there.
