Cincinnati Bengals fans can sometimes count on insights from the organization around the NFL’s league meetings this time of year.
But maybe not this year.
Katie Blackburn, executive vice president of the Bengals, has dropped some interesting quotes at league meetings in the past.

But according to Paul Dehner Jr. on a recent episode of The Growler, Blackburn won’t make herself available to the media.
“Normally, we would be speaking with Katie Blackburn out there,” Dehner said. “That’s not gonna happen this year. The Bengals are not making her available out there.”
As of this writing, no word on the why behind that decision, so jumping to conclusions isn’t the best idea on this subject.
That said, fans are right to feel some mild disappointment on this front after a strange trip to free agency during an offseason that is widely hailed as critical to Joe Burrow and the team’s future.

While the Bengals unquestionably improved in free agency, contract details, cap space management and the lack of addressing big needs like linebacker would have made for some really interesting back-and-forth between Blackburn and the media.
Unless something changes between now and Sunday, Bengals fans aren’t going to get those drip-feed insights into this critical offseason’s process.
