CINCINNATI (Cincinnati Business Courier) – Cincinnati is not unique in being home to three professional sports teams. But it is rare for a market this size to serve as home to NFL, MLB and MLS clubs.

Last year, a University of Cincinnati Economics Center study said the Banks has a $2.5 billion annual economic impact, with a huge chunk of that credited to the Cincinnati Reds and the Cincinnati Bengals.

Add FC Cincinnati to that, and the impact to the region is even stronger.

FC Cincinnati co-founder and co-CEO Jeff Berding said professional sports act as economic multipliers. The teams drive visitor spending, support thousands of jobs, generate tax revenue and anchor broader entertainment, hospitality and real estate development.
