The 2025 season was a thrilling rollercoaster in the NFC North, with the Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions, and Green Bay Packers fighting fiercely until the dramatic finish for the division crown. In the end, the Chicago Bears won the title, but the Packers still posted a 9-7-1 record and roared back into the playoffs. Though they fell to the Bears on the road in the Wild Card round, the Packers re-established a strong foundation for future seasons.

The Green Bay Packers and GM Brian Gutekunst attempted to make a big splash in the 2025 draft by selecting wide receiver Matthew Golden. However, Golden ended up becoming a dependable role player for the Packers offense, he did not necessarily make a big splash for the Packers offense. That set the tone for the rest of the Packers draft, solid contributors but a lack of elite superstar-level players added to the Packers roster.
