Although they won’t officially be revealed for two more days, the Atlanta Falcons’ new red home jerseys leaked on social media on Tuesday afternoon, matching the description that multiple sources have shared with SportsLogos.Net.

The jerseys feature a white “Falcons” wordmark over white block numbers with a black outline and subtle notch in the top left corner that matches the design in their logo, which appears on both sleeves beneath the Nike Swoosh.

The jerseys are complete with TV numbers on the shoulders and the phrase “Dirty Birds” inside of the back collar as a nod to the iconic touchdown celebration that defined the franchise’s run to Super Bowl XXXIII.

As mentioned above, sources have indicated the red jerseys will become Atlanta’s primary home look and will be paired with black helmets that feature a black facemask, as well as white pants with a traditional striping pattern down the sides.

It’s effectively the Falcons’ Color Rush jerseys, worn just once during the 2017 season, but with a wordmark above the numbers – which are white with a black outline instead of black with a white stroke – and a notch in the digit(s).

Our sources also indicated Atlanta will unveil matching white road jerseys with red numbers outlined in black, as well as gray and black pants options. The Falcons will also keep their 1966 throwback uniforms – including the red helmets – in the rotation.

The NFL’s relaxed helmet and uniform rules would allow them to pair the red throwback helmets with their new home and road jerseys, albeit with their current decals instead of the vintage logo, while they could also wear their black helmets with the throwback threads once again.

Atlanta will be one of four teams to unveil new (or updated) uniforms in April, joining the Washington Conmanders (April 15), Baltimore Ravens (April 16) and Los Angeles Rams (TBD). The Tennessee Titans also revealed a new design last month inspired by their time as the Houston Oilers.
