According to On3’s Talia Goodman, Tennessee is set to lose both Mia and Mya Pauldo to the NCAA transfer portal. Both spent just one season with the program after being highly sought-after recruits. Now, they are set to once again hit the market with the hopes of finding a home for the 2026-2027 campaign.

Of the two, Mia played a bigger role for the Vols this past season. She was out on the court for 23.3 minutes per game, making 27 appearances and 17 starts. Averaging 10.4 points meant Mia was good enough for third on the team, also adding 2.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists every time out there. Some quality production will be leaving Knoxville.

Mya also played in 27 games for Tennessee but only got one start. Her playing time sat around 10 minutes, averaging 1.8 points, 1.6 rebounds, and 0.9 assists. Maybe an increased role will be Mya’s goal wherever the duo lands moving forward.

“We knew that the platform Tennessee has is huge and the fans are just very supportive,” Mya told Goodman when they originally committed to Tennessee. “We know they’re going to love our brand and that we’re going to be able to combine the Lady Vols and Twin Backcourt together and just make it a big thing. It’s Tennessee. They have such a big platform.”

Mia played high school basketball at Denville (NJ) Morris Catholic, where she was a five-star prospect. She was the No. 14 overall recruit in the 2025 cycle, according to the Rivals Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Not too far behind was Mya, who also attended Denville (NJ) Morris Catholic for her high school playing days. Mya was considered a four-star prospect and the No. 56 prospect in the class.

Tennessee finished last season 16-14 overall under head coach Kim Caldwell. A .500 record in SEC play saw them on the bubble throughout the year, sneaking into the NCAA Tournament as a 10-seed. NC State turned into the first-round opponent, a game the Vols lost by 14 points. Everyone on Rocky Top will be hoping for better results next season, just without the Pauldo twins.
