The Arizona Cardinals have the third overall selection in the 2026 NFL draft, and one player who has been connected to them with that pick is Ohio State linebacker/EDGE Arvell Reese. The Cardinals will get a closer look at him.

According to NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo, the Cardinals are bringing in Reese for an official top-30 visit. Reese is scheduled to have official visits with the Cardinals, New York Jets, Tennessee Titans, New York Giants, Kansas City Chiefs and Dallas Cowboys.

He is projected to go as high as the second overall pick in the draft. He played off the ball but began to see work as an edge defender, and his athleticism is intriguing. He is 6-4 and 241 pounds, and he ran the 40 at the combine in 4.46 seconds.

In his last season for the Buckeyes, he had 69 tackles, 6.5 sacks and 10 tackles for loss. Many see him being able to do what Micah Parsons does.

The Cardinals desperately need more pass-rushing help. They got a career-high 12 sacks from Josh Sweat in his first season with the team, but the rest of the outside linebackers — Baron Browning, Zaven Collins, Jordan Burch and BJ Ojulari — combined for only 5.5 sacks.

He is one of three edge defenders who could be in play for the Cardinals with the third overall pick, if that is the position they want to target, along with Texas Tech’s David Bailey and Miami’s Rueben Bain.
