Green Bay Packers president Ed Policy dropped a clue on the upcoming release of the team’s “Rivalries” alternate uniform in his monthly Q&A post at Packers.com.
The Packers are scheduled to wear the “Rivalries” uniform during a divisional home game in 2026. Policy said more information will be coming, but he revealed the uniform is being designed with the team’s owners and one-of-a-kind structure in mind.
“Stay tuned and you’ll learn more in the coming months – but I will say this truly alternate uniform will celebrate owners and emphasize our uniqueness…” Policy wrote.
The words “truly alternate” suggest the new uniform will look nothing like the Packers’ traditional home set. How could the Packers “celebrate owners” in a uniform? It’s possible the uniform will somehow incorporate elements of the team’s stock sales into the look.
Last year, the NFC West and AFC East wore the “Rivalries” uniforms for the first time. The NFC North and AFC South will be wearing the alternate uniforms in 2026.

Nike’s “Rivalries” program was debuted with designs “rooted extensively in the legacies and inspirations true to each team.” You can see all eight uniform designs from last season here.
The alternates will remain in each team’s uniform rotation for three years, so the Packers will have a chance to wear the look in both 2027 and 2028, too.
