LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Former NFL player and Cincinnati Bengals fan favorite Ickey Woods is coming to Las Vegas on Monday, April 13, to host a celebrity golf tournament raising money for a deeply personal cause.
Woods founded the Jovante Wood Foundation in honor of his late son, Jovante, who died after an asthma attack. The foundation focuses on raising awareness about asthma and the need for better treatments and prevention.
The tournament, set for Southshore Country Club in Henderson, will raise funds to support the foundation’s work, including asthma testing and educational initiatives.

Woods, a former Bengals running back and a UNLV Athletic Hall of Famer, won’t be the only big name on the course.
Former Bengals defensive back and broadcaster Solomon Wilcots is also scheduled to attend.
