Mitchell Fraboni has two years remaining on his contract with the Denver Broncos, but he does not have any guaranteed money included in 2026 or 2027. His average salary ($1,391,667) ranks 19th among NFL long snappers, which isn’t bad, but the Broncos could go even cheaper with a rookie. They might be considering it.
Denver recently spoke with long snapper Xander Echols at Idaho’s pro day, according to Easton Butler of Packers Report. Before that, USC long snapper Hank Pepper had a private workout for the Broncos, according to KPRC-TV’s Aaron Wilson.

Echols (5-11, 220 pounds) spent two years at UAB before transferring to Idaho. Pepper (6-1, 215 pounds) is a former high school linebacker and long snapper who spent three seasons at Michigan State before transferring to USC.
Pepper was ranked as the top long snapper recruit coming out of Chandler High School in Arizona. He was also a star linebacker in high school, winning Defensive Player of the Year honors and helping the Wolves to a state championship as a senior.
Broncos long snapper interest
Following the Jaylen Waddle trade last month, Denver holds seven picks in the 2026 NFL draft, which will be held in Pittsburgh from April 23-25.
