WR prospect Jordyn Tyson compared to former New York Giants star.
In a few short days, the New York Giants will be on the clock with the No. 5 and No. 10 picks in the NFL Draft. As they continue to do their due diligence, one possible name on their radar garnered some high praise.
During the April 20th installment of “NFL Live” on ESPN, former champion Marcus Spears gave his thoughts on wide receiver prospect Jordyn Tyson. He is a big fan of his game, citing that he draws a lot of similarities to Odell Beckham Jr.
“I went back and looked at him and was like Odell, Odell Odell. I actually attributed it to the in-and-out quickness,” Spears said. “You look at the tough catch ability, he makes them look easy.”

Heading into the 2026 draft, Tyson is viewed as the top prospect at his position by some. Though availability has been an issue for him at times, he’s proven he can be a difference-maker when on the field. In nine games for Arizona State last season, Tyson notched 711 yards and eight touchdowns.
Seeing that they now have a pair of top ten picks in the first round, there is no telling if the Giants will use one of their selections to add another dynamic weapon to put alongside QB Jaxson Dart.
Analyst Thinks Giants Could Form NFL’s Top Receiver Corps by Drafting Jordyn Tyson
Tyson being tied to Beckham is interesting for an array of reasons. The first being that he was once an elite-level wide receiver in the NFL. Another interesting factor is the possibility of them being teammates if Tyson does wind up in New York.
Earlier this week, the football world was buzzing after news surfaced of Beckham having a private workout with the Giants. While on her “Up & Adams” show on April 21st, Kay Adams gave her thoughts on these recent developments. She believes if the Giants add Beckham and draft Tyson, they would arguably have the best wide receiver room in the NFL.
“If they got these guys,” Adams said of Beckham and Tyson. “Respectfully to Tee Higgins, would this be the best receiver room? Definitely the one I’d want to hang out in the most. But I mean how good would this receiver room be as far as the complexion of the rest of the league?”
While the Giants did bring Beckham in for a workout, it is still unclear if they will reunite with the former Pro-Bowl wideout.
Jordyn Tyson Among Betting Favorites to be Drafted by Giants
In the weeks leading up to the NFL Draft, there have been countless prospects tied to the Giants at No. 5. There are multiple routes the front office can go, but it appears that Tyson is one name people are keeping a close eye on.
Around 48 hours from the start of the draft, Tyson has climbed up the ranks and is now seen as a possible top-five pick. FanDuel has given him the second-best odds to be taken by the Giants at No. 5 (290), with Sonny Styles (+185) as the only prospect ahead of him.
Now with two early picks in the first round, the Giants are a team many are watching closely to see how they navigate the draft.
