The New England Patriots made an aggressive move on Friday.

Eliot Wolf, looking to add some juice to the defense, did some moving and shaking as he acquired pick No. 55 from the Los Angeles Chargers in exchange for picks No. 63, 131, and 202 — using his newfound position to select defensive lineman Gabe Jacas.

Jacas is stout, strong, and sort of psychotic, which are all good things when you’re making projections on someone whose primary objective is to chase people. NESN’s Keagan Stiefel, which also happens to be the same guy writing this article, wrote a pre-draft profile that tells you all about his strengths and weaknesses.

Jacas should immediately compete for reps on all three downs alongside Harold Landry III and Dre’Mont Jones.

The Patriots kicked off their weekend by taking offensive lineman Caleb Lomu at No. 28.

New England is left with six picks on the weekend: No. 95, No. 171, No. 191, No. 198, No. 212, and No. 247.
