Michigan State football has been named as a finalist for a big-time edge rusher in the 2026 class.
Tyson Harley of Washington, D.C. revealed his top five schools on Saturday, which included the Spartans. Michigan State was joined by Penn State, Maryland, Rutgers and Virginia Tech, according to a post on social media platform X.

Harley is a four-star edge rusher in the 2026 class. He holds a recruiting rating of 89.71 on 247Sports.
Harley ranks as the No. 31 edge rusher in 247Sports’ composite rankings for the 2026 class. He is also listed as the No. 2 player from Washington, D.C. and No. 345 overall prospect in the class.
Harley is set to take an official visit to Michigan State this upcoming week. His official visit will begin on June 2 and run through June 4. He is currently on an official visit to Rutgers this weekend, and will be visiting Penn State (June 6), Maryland (June 12) and Virginia Tech (June 20) over the next few weeks.
