Mike McDaniel is the new offensive coordinator for the Los Angeles Chargers, and he seems ready to have some fun, based on his recent ‘Anchorman’ answer.
After a stint as head coach for the Miami Dolphins, Mike McDaniel is ready to begin life as the offensive coordinator for the Los Angeles Chargers.
There is quite a bit of optimism surrounding the appointment, with McDaniel expected to get the best out of star quarterback Justin Herbert. And the 43-year-old is already feeling good vibes.
The Chargers recently held a joint practice at the University of San Diego. And with McDaniel already putting in the work with the team, he found time to also drop an epic movie reference.

According to many fans, the Chargers have not lived up to expectations these last couple of seasons. And with McDaniel now under Jim Harbaugh, there is a lot of optimism.
The team visited their former home, San Diego, for a recent practice. And McDaniel was feeling the vibes, which his quote from the pre-training press conference makes apparent.
Chargers OC Mike McDaniel wore his shades to availability because he was unprepared for an indoor presser. But McDaniel said more importantly he’s prepared for a second practice in San Diego: “Ron Burgundy wasn’t lying. This place is sweet.” pic.twitter.com/XUb0YjtmRa

“I’m really excited to be here. I’m not excited that I’m completely unprepared for an indoor press conference as I’m wearing sunglasses inside,” McDaniel said.
“I am prepared for practice, though, which I think is better news. And Ron Burgundy wasn’t lying. This place is sweet.”
