PATRICK MAHOMES has only been back at training a week – but he already has opposing fans fearing for their team in 2025.
The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback, 29, is on the revenge trail after defeat at Super Bowl LIX.

Mahomes and the Chiefs failed to win a historic threepeat back in February.
They went down 40-22 to the Philadelphia Eagles in New Orleans.
The team returned to OTAs last week at the team’s facility in Missouri.
And despite heartbreak against Philly, Mahomes showed he’s lost none of his MVP-level greatness.
Eagle-eyed fans spotted one impressive trick play from a reel released from Friday’s practice.
In the clip, Mahomes is seen taking a snap as tight end Noah Gray and back Isiah Pacheco run routes.
Pacheco moves inside as if to collect the ball from the quarterback.
But in one subtle movement, Mahomes releases a pass from BEHIND his back to an unseen receiver.
“Would love to see this in a regular game this season,” gasped one fan.
“This guy is not serious,” replied another.
‘If it’s the last ride…’ – Patrick Mahomes breaks silence over Travis Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs retirement talk
“He couldn’t even hit normal passes in the SB, how about focus on doing that before the behind the back nonsense,” a third countered.
Ahead of the new season, the Chiefs are reportedly in “constant conversation” with Mahomes over his contract.
The 29-year-old became the highest-paid player in NFL history in 2020.
His earnings have since been surpassed, with Mahomes restructuring the deal on numerous occasions.
The blockbuster deal penned five years ago saw Mahomes sign a 10-year contract worth $450million.

But with earnings for other QBs skyrocketing, the Chiefs are reportedly keeping tabs on Mahomes’ pay packet.
The star’s $45m average annual value is now tied for 14th among quarterbacks.
“The Chiefs have done a really good job of staying in constant contact with Mahomes and making sure he’s happy with where things stand with his contract,” NFL Insider James Palmer said.
“With the length of the deal it allows a lot of flexibility and movement to make sure Mahomes is properly and continuously compensated.”
