There has been concern raised with the 49ers’ takeover of Rangers due to a potential distraction with plans at Leeds United.
It’s always a risk as an owner to take on two football clubs, but that’s exactly what Paraag Marathe and the 49ers have done.
To have two teams with the pedigree of Leeds and Rangers is hard to turn down, but now they will have the task of juggling both operations.
The Whites are set for a busy transfer window, and it’s been claimed the takeover won’t affect Leeds.
Well, that doesn’t seem to be entirely true as the 49ers are set to steer the attention of one target away from Elland Road.

There has already been debate among the Whites faithful on how the takeover will actually work.
This has even got Leeds fans offering Jack Harrison to Rangers, as this could be a way for the 49ers to trade players.
Even though that could be a consideration further down the line, it’s looking like no clear plans have been made for something like this to happen.
MORE LEEDS UNITED STORIES
Instead, the Leeds owners might have done the opposite, and target Jamie Vardy could now be on his way North of the border instead of Yorkshire.
The Daily Mail Print Edition has reported that Rangers are one of the clubs that are showing an ‘interest’ in Vardy this summer.
Although Vardy has been mooted for Leeds, it’s also been made clear that Rangers could poach the striker, and that seems like the more obvious outcome at this stage.

Theme could begin that Leeds United fans won’t want to see
With Vardy now potentially looking away from Rangers, Leeds fans won’t want to see a trend being started.
This trend being the possibility of Daniel Farke’s targets instead moving to Scotland in the 49ers’ new project.
Marathe won’t be around Leeds as much, which could already be a concerning sign, but when transfer targets get pulled into the mix, that’s when questions will be asked.
Thankfully, Vardy isn’t seen as too much of a major target, but don’t be surprised if Farke’s options get linked to the Scottish giants.
