Alabama legend and 2009 Heisman Trophy winner Mark Ingram is back on the ballot for the 2026 College Football Hall of Fame class.

This marks Ingram’s second appearance on the ballot. He became the first player in Alabama football history to win the Heisman Trophy after rushing for 1,658 yards and 20 touchdowns during the Crimson Tide’s undefeated national championship season in 2009. He was also a unanimous All-American that year.

Ingram is one of 13 former SEC players listed among the 78 total FBS nominees. Other SEC names include Cam Newton, DeMeco Ryans and Percy Harvin. To qualify, players must be at least 10 years removed from their final college season and must have earned first-team All-American honors.

Final selections will be made by the National Football Foundation’s Honors Court later this year.
