Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs pleaded no contest to misdemeanor charges of battery and criminal damage to property<\/a> last week.<\/p>\n The evidence in his case was then temporarily sealed, according to a Tuesday ESPN report<\/a>, which details how the attorneys representing Jacobs’ former girlfriend have filed a motion to permanently seal it as well as discovery materials.<\/p>\n The motion “is consistent with our client’s desire to protect her privacy,” the attorneys said in a statement, per ESPN.<\/p>\n A permanent sealing could reportedly prevent the NFL from reviewing the surveillance video from Jacobs’ garage that, according to the Brown County district attorney in Wisconsin, corroborated the woman’s claims of what transpired.<\/p>\n The criminal complaint, according to ESPN<\/a>, stated that the woman was trying to leave Jacobs’ garage when he “grabbed her and threw her to the ground, and she struck her head, suffering an injury.”<\/p>\n Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst said earlier this month that the organization hadn’t seen the surveillance video<\/a>.<\/p>\n Jacobs, a three-time Pro Bowler, is currently on the commissioner exempt list<\/a>, meaning he cannot play or practice at the moment.<\/p>\n
