\n\tTom Cruise<\/a> stopped by The Tonight Show<\/a> to promote his new movie, Digger. But soon host Jimmy Fallon<\/a>\u2018s hard-hitting journalism led to a conversation about Cruise joining Taylor Swift<\/a> at the Chiefs opening game<\/a> on Monday. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWhen the biggest movie star in the world is sitting next to the biggest artist in the world, what do you talk about?\u201d Fallon asked. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cShe was schooling me on football,\u201d Cruise replied. \u201cFor real. She was bringing the football. First of all, she\u2019s a genius. I\u2019ve been following her since she was a kid. Everybody there, all their friends\u2014they\u2019re a beautiful couple and magical in their own right.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tHe added, \u201cI hadn\u2019t been to a football game since pre-Covid, where I was working and everything. So to get to hang out there and have that moment, it was a lot. But she knows her stuff.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tCruise and Fallon acknowledged that Swift, by her own admission, knew nothing about football when she met her husband Travis Kelce, who plays for the Chiefs. \u201cShe said, \u2018He\u2019s so patient,’\u201d Cruise said. \u201cI said, \u2018I\u2019m sure he was.\u2019 I think everybody would be very patient [with her].\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tDuring the game, Cruise said the pair also discussed music and movies. \u201cShe\u2019s got such a great sense of humor,\u201d Cruise praised Swift. \u201cA brilliant writer also, by the way. Brilliant musician and director. Very skilled.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tDuring his appearance on the show, Cruise also participated in the \u201cClaw Machine Challenge\u201d alongside Fallon. The segment involved the pair hanging from wires and attempting to secure prizes from a giant pit. The prizes were themed to Cruise\u2019s movies, including Top Gun and Mission: Impossible. <\/p>\n

\n\tDigger, directed by Alejandro Gonz\u00e1lez I\u00f1\u00e1rritu, is in theaters Oct. 2. There have been rumors that the film is a musical, based solely on the trailer, but that theory has been debunked. Cruise feigned surprise that anyone would think that was true, noting that he thought it was a \u201cvery good idea.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI thik we should do Digger: The Musical,\u201d he told Fallon. He added that the actual movie is \u201ctotally original. It\u2019s audacious. It\u2019s funny.
