Durant suffered a hamstring strain in the first half, causing him to miss the second half. Locke was also ruled out quickly. Schottenheimer said a torn plantar fascia, from a recovery sense, is arguably better for a football player than dealing with a partial tear.\u00a0<\/p>\n
“It begins to heal much quicker when you tear it fully,” Schottenheimer said.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Schottenheimer said they haven’t finalized a decision on whether Locke will require a trip to injured reserve. If he does, he’ll miss four games.<\/p>\n
The injuries are starting to pile up for the Cowboys on the defensive side of the ball. The Cowboys entered Sunday’s game already without starting safety Malik Hooker<\/a> (fractured forearm) and starting linebacker DeMarvion Overshown<\/a> (hamstring). Locke replaced Hooker in the starting lineup, but only for the beginning of the game.
