KANSAS CITY, Mo \u2013 The Green Bay Packers and Kansas City Chiefs are launching a limited-time pop-up merchandise store exclusive to Munich, Germany, in celebration of the NFL game set for this November.<\/p>\n
The collaborative “Packers X Chiefs Official Team Shop” retail experience will be available for a special three-day stretch from Thursday, 12 November, through Saturday, 14 November, at FancyRosi Studio, Rosental 5, 80331 M\u00fcnchen, Germany. The shop will feature fan-favorite Packers and Chiefs products, including player jerseys, a variety of apparel and novelty items, hats and outerwear.<\/p>\n
“We’re pleased to work with the Chiefs for this exciting shopping opportunity for our fans in Germany and visitors to Bavaria ahead of the NFL game in November,” said Gabrielle Dow, Packers chief marketing officer. “Both of our clubs have a proud tradition of success and a rich fan culture, which we aim to highlight as we continue building the NFL’s international following. We’re looking forward to welcoming fans to our pop-up shop in November and giving them another opportunity to celebrate during a special weekend in Munich.”<\/p>\n
The pop-up shop will also be highlighted by appearances from Packers and Chiefs alumni players during the course of the three-day engagement, along with limited-edition, Oktoberfest-themed gear.<\/p>\n

The collaboration was developed through Packers and Chiefs staff members who recognized an opportunity for the two Midwest teams to reach new fans in Germany and beyond by offering merchandise items available on-site in Munich. By working together to secure a site and share other resources involved with creating a temporary retail location, the two clubs aim to connect with more fans and increase the impact of the pop-up shop.<\/p>\n
The Packers and the Chiefs have been connected from the early days of professional football, with the two teams facing each other in the first-ever Super Bowl in January of 1967. As the champions of the NFL and AFL at the time, the franchises helped usher in a new era, one that would ultimately bring two leagues together and shape the NFL as it is known today.
